What to Enter

There are six art categories for submission:

It is your choice to visually express your cancer journey any way you prefer. So when you have decided upon your medium, choose your subject matter. There is no restriction on subject matter—as long as it reflects what gave your cancer journey meaning.

Each art entry must also be accompanied by a narrative no longer than 250 words that explains why the journey depicted in the artwork is an inspiring one. Please also remember to title your art.

IMPORTANT—Please pay close attention to the originality and artwork size specifications, as well as packing requirements detailed in the Rules and Regulations you downloaded in Step 1 above. All artwork and narratives must be original. It must have been created solely by the applicant and never previously displayed or published. It must not be copied from or be very similar in appearance to any other art, photo, or material.

Lilly reserves the right to limit the number of entries in the competition. For 2008, the competition shall be limited to the first 1500 entries from the United States and Puerto Rico. In the event Lilly receives over the maximum number of entries, the entries shall be returned to the respective applicant at Lilly's expense. Lilly shall have no rights to any returned entry.
